DF n°167, Interview with IKE YARD, November 5th, 2012


On September the 26th, we met Stuart Argabright, Michael Diekmann and Kenneth Compton, three of the original members of the band Ike Yard. They remain mainly known for an album released on Factory in 1982. Six years ago, the band has been reactivated. They released a second album in 2010, Nord, and they were in Paris to present us new songs from a forthcoming record. The live show took place at the Espace B.We talked a lot about the No Wave and post-punk scene and the energy that was going on in New York City at the very beginning of the eighties.
