Ataraxia
is a band we followed since their very beginnings in the early nineties. The
androgynous, powerful voice of Francesca Nicoli was very impressive and we could
already feel the originality of a great band. They are very literate people,
excellent musicians and they have tried many different things throughout their
career which shows their will to always explore new territories. When we
learned about their playing in Lyon , we took
our car, even if it was a long ride, and went to see them because we knew we
would not be disappointed. The show was just excellent, presenting a lot of
songs from Llyr and Kremasta Nera, and a heart-breaking cover of
"Gloomy Sunday" with lyrics translated into Italian. Francesca Nicoli
has charisma and generosity, and I was happily surprised when she told me we
could make the entire interview in French, with her charming Italian accent.
