DF n°182, Interview with WILLIAM BENNETT, June 17th, 2013

On April 16th, we met William Bennett (Cut Hands / Whitehouse) at the Centre Barbara Fleury during the Sonic Protest festival. We had an extensive interview with him, dealing with the present and the past and we thought it would be a good opportunity to broadcast it now since Cut Hands is going to play in our city of Toulouse on June 29th for the Siestes Electroniques. The event is going to take place in broad daylight in the beautiful gardens of Compans Caffarelli.

DF n°180, Interview with JAN JELINEK & ANDREW PEKLER around the work of URSULA BOGNER, May 6th, 2013

On April 18th, we went to see Jan Jelinek and Andrew Pekler after a performance they gave in Paris during the Sonic Protest festival, in which they reinterpreted the work of Ursula Bogner. Bogner was a pharmacist and as a hobby she experimented electronics and sounds in her home-made studio. Her theories and tapes were discovered after her death by Jan Jelinek who issued several releases on his Faitliche label, notable "Recordings 1969-1988" and "Sonne = Blackbox". There is a haunting abstract poetry in all the sketches gathered in these albums. We discussed with Pekler and Jelinek about Bogner even though everything that was said is for the main part pure speculation.
